About Me

My name is Catherine. I love to read! In fact, I prize my book collection even over my shoe collection and I never leave home without a book or my e-reader so that I can sneak in that one page when I get a few minutes. My parents tell me that as a child, my head was always buried in a book and my dad encouraged my love for reading by steering me towards the motivational authors – Robert Schuller, Zig Zigler, etc.

My love for romance started as a teenager with Mills & Boon and authors such as Nora Roberts, Julie Garwood, Catherine Coulter, Jayne Ann Krentz and so many more!

I will read almost anything but prefer to read and review Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance and Romantic Suspense. My all-time favorite series is the ‘In Death’ series by J.D.Robb (who doesn’t love a woman who kicks a** and takes names?). My newest author crush is Rebecca Zanetti and I’ll read anything she writes!

Some of my other favorite authors include  Lora Leigh, Cindy Gerard, Bella Andre, Julie James, Kristen Ashley, Cynthia Eden and Karen Rose. I also enjoy discovering new-to-me authors.

I started my blog to put in words how I feel when I read a book that hits the right spot. I love reading about strong, smart, feisty women who can give as good as they get and I named my blog ‘The Sassy Bookster’ in honor of all such women. My all-time favorite fictional character is Eve Dallas (In Death series by J.D Robb), a perfect example of a kickass woman!

You can also check out ‘My Blog’ page where I write about random thoughts about love, romance and books.

I am always happy to hear from readers who enjoy my posts, so please feel free to contact me via email, Twitter, Facebook or Tsu.

Fun Facts about me

  1. Apart from reading, my other passions are cooking and baking and I love collecting recipes. A perfect day for me is relaxing on the couch with a book.
  2. Paperbacks will always be my first love and I resisted moving to an e-reader until my paperback collection outgrew my living space. Now my eBook collection boasts thousands of books. Scary, I know!
  3. I had to move cross country for a new job and guess what was first on the moving truck? Yep, my paperback collection!
