He’s the man she loves to hate . . .
Olivia Kane’s wedding day has just imploded spectacularly. Shots lined up at the bar? Bring it. Hot stranger on the hook? Come on down. What this party does not need is six feet and change of home-grown Texas cockiness in the form of her brother’s best friend, the man who broke her heart seven years ago.
She’s the woman he has to have . . .
Flynn Cross won’t stand by while Liv finds sensual solace in the arms of a stranger, not when his own hard-for-her body is more than up for the task. For one week, he’ll make her honeymoon-for-one a sizzling party for two.
Breaking the rules, one steamy night at a time . . .
But the taboo they’re breaking is only the beginning . . . and Flynn’s part in Liv’s wedding debacle could bring about their end.
Review
Kate Meader really should write a book on the art of the quip, I’m sure it would be a bestseller because she knows how to layer her characters’ dialogues with lots of one liners and ONE WEEK TO SCORE serves up some of that fun alongside lots of scorching hot sexy moments and characters anyone would love to spend time with. Ms. Meader combines two of my favorite things to read about – friends-to-lovers and brother’s best friend – into a really great read.
After catching her fiancé in a compromising situation with her maid of honor on her wedding day and having Flynn Cross front and center to witness her humiliation, Olivia Kane is off on her solo honeymoon, a one-woman force ready to cut lose in Mexico and get her freak on with any hot and willing cabana boys.
Flynn will be damned if he sits by and allows Olivia find comfort in the arms of any other man, after wanting her for so long and what better way to get in on the action than offer his body for her pleasure, for one week only? And so it begins.
Livia and Flynn ceased hostilities briefly to bring Brody and Emma together and this will mean another cease-fire, but with their history and the emotions swirling underneath, will this week in paradise cost more than they can afford to give?
The story-line is not anything new, but the characters are everything one can hope for. They are confident, independent and strong, with a bit of vulnerability, the banter is sooo much fun and the chemistry is off the charts! Olivia and Flynn’s history and their issues with their families give depth to what would ordinarily be a very quick, insta-lust and love kind of romance and what better location than the sunny Mexican beaches?
This book has something to satisfy every reader, so if you enjoy sizzling chemistry between your characters, you’ll love this book just as much as the person who loves some emotional intensity in their romance.
