Trained to protect against all danger, a professional bodyguard can provide all the muscle a woman needs. But when their hearts are on the line, love is the riskiest business . . .

SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME

Former child star Sierra Blake is making a stunning Hollywood comeback-and attracting a scary amount of attention. When her home is vandalized and her safety threatened, she knows it’s time to bring in the professionals. But from the moment she sets eyes on her indecently sexy new bodyguard, Sierra’s thoughts are anything but professional . . .

Few things in this world scare Sean Owens-until he realizes he’s in serious danger of losing his heart to his new client. No matter how much he wants to, Sean won’t let his feelings for the smart and gorgeous Sierra get in the way of doing his job. Because as the attacks against her escalate, crossing the line between business and pleasure could get them both killed.

Review

It doesn’t get better than a hot, protective and possessive hero, a smart and tough heroine in danger and some very sexy interludes to keep readers coming back for more. With the number of hunky security experts we’ve been introduced to in this book, I know I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Former child star Sierra Blake has signed on to be a spokesperson for a women’s health group but someone does not like it. When she’s attacked in public, she does not think much of it but when her house gets vandalized on the same day as the attack, she realizes that this may be more than just a run of the mill attack by a fringe group and knows that the smart thing to do is to hire some personal security. Enter Sean Owens.

Sean finds himself very drawn to Sierra and also very protective of her but she’s just become his client and she’s off-limits, at least until his job is done. He knows that getting involved with her would compromise his objectivity and put her in harm’s way, but getting his body on board is quite a struggle especially when she clearly feels the same way and isn’t hiding her willingness to go there with him. Sean is determined to keep Sierra safe like he couldn’t with a loved one in the past and with the unknown enemy upping the intensity of the attacks on her, they can’t afford even the slightest distraction.

I knew I had to read this book when I saw the blurb and it was everything I was looking forward to. I loved the immediate connection between Sierra and Blake and was rooting for them from their first meeting. I loved the strength Sierra displayed in dealing with the increasingly intense threats to her and Sean’s protectiveness. There were a few surprises but overall it was a very enjoyable and absorbing read. While the plot is straightforward, the story has enough suspense to keep a reader on edge, waiting for the next volley from the enemy.

For a debut, I think that Ms. Wyatt has done a great job and I’m looking forward to reading more from her.

About Tara Wyatt

Tara Wyatt is a contemporary romance author who's been making up love stories ever since she fell head over heels for the Backstreet Boys almost twenty years ago. Not content with merely daydreaming about Nick Carter, she grabbed a notebook and wrote what she now realizes was Backstreet Boy fan fiction.

After outgrowing her boy band obsession and obtaining an Honours B.A. in English Literature and Philosophy from McMaster University, her love of books and reading led her to pursue a Masters' degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Western Ontario. Currently, she works for a large public library system, where she has the arduous task of selecting books for children and young adults for the library's collection.

Winner of the Unpublished Winter Rose Award, Linda Howard Award of Excellence and the Heart of the West Award, Tara lives in Hamilton, Ontario with the cutest dog in the world and a husband that makes all of her heroes look like chumps.
