One dare will bring him to his knees . . .

Playing best man in his teammate’s Las Vegas wedding is not U.S. Navy SEAL Jack Barnes’ idea of a vacation-especially when the maid-of-honor is the one woman who knows how to push his buttons. Now his teammates are taking bets on whether he’ll end up in the fiery bartender’s bed. Not one to turn away from a challenge, Jack vows to seduce Natalie Lewis. And he’ll do so on his terms-demanding complete control.

The tantalizing SEAL may have a hand-over-your-panties smile and a body she’d love to explore, but there’s no way Natalie’s falling into his bed. No, she’s going to get revenge. After bringing Jack to his knees with a series of Sin City dares, she’ll walk away. It’s the perfect plan-until it backfires. Beneath his devil-may-care attitude, Jack’s unbridled desire proves irresistible. But he also requires the one thing Natalie can’t give. Control.

Review

I don’t know about you but if I overhear a bet being made on whether or not a guy can get in my pants, my reaction would be “see ya!” and not “bring it”, so Natalie’s reaction was a bit unexpected but intriguing enough for me to want to see how her story would play out once I got past my issues with the bet. It didn’t hurt that Jack is a very hot SEAL who just happens to be a very sweet and irresistible guy with a major case of the hots for her.

Natalie loves to be in control and won’t give Jack the time of day in spite of the fact that she is just as interested in him. Honestly, it was hard for me to like her because of her resistance to any connection, but she doesn’t trust people to stick around and would rather be alone than take chance on getting hurt.

What begins as a bet becomes a lot more as Jack slowly chips away at Natalie’s walls and shows her that she is worthy of being loved. For Jack, having Natalie in his life for good is worth losing the bet, but will he be able to convince Natalie to let go of the fears and guilt that she has held onto for so long and take a chance on love? Can Natalie trust Jack to keep his word and return to her especially because of the dangerous nature of his job?

I loved Jack and how gentle, patient and solid he was, and how he saw past the feisty exterior to Natalie’s kind and loving side. My only problem was that Natalie’s issues took up most of the book and made it longer than necessary, distracting from their hot, sexy chemistry and their fun banter. It took me some time get into this story but I ended up enjoying it. TO DARE A SEAL is a steamy, sexy and unexpectedly emotional romance.
