Review

The idea of an all-female team of mechanics and classic car restorers giving the undisputed king of that industry a run for his money was an interesting concept and had me wanting to read REVVED but the writing far exceeded what I was expecting and I absolutely loved it! I was reaching out for the first book even before I finished this and can’t wait for Piper’s story.

Reid Parker worked hard to establish his classic car restoration business, which has become the standard in the industry so he’s not going to stand by idly while he loses business to some up and coming crew, even if the quality of their work is exceptional. Imagine his surprise when he finds out that his competition is a crew of female mechanics. And he gets completely blown away by the sexy and tattooed redheaded welder, such that his plans to acquire their business take a back seat to his plans to get her in his bed.

Rusty West has given up on men and instead focused her energy on the garage she co-owns with her business partners, who are also her best friend and her younger sister. Rusty and her girls grew up in her father’s garage and always loved being under the hood of a car. Under the tutelage of Rusty’s father, they acquired their skills and have slowly started building a reputation as the go-to people for restoring classic cars. So when she gets the tingles when Reid Parker walks into their shop, Rusty plans to stay far away from him, but she does not count on her fascination with him or the major chemistry between them.

Rusty was everything I expected: strong, confident, sexy and stubborn, something obviously needed to thrive in a male-dominated industry as theirs, and she’s determined to resist Reid. But she’s more than met her match in Reid. Reid is just as determined and driven, he always gets what he wants and now he’s got Rusty in his sights, he’s not giving up until he has her where he wants her. The chemistry between these two is hot! But Reid has got his work cut out for him trying to convince Rusty to take a chance on him and for a man who’s not interested in commitment, he finds himself wanting more than the usual one night from Rusty. 

But things are not always what they appear to be and both Rusty and Reid have to deal with their baggage if they want to take their attraction beyond a brief affair.

REVVED is a sexy, sexy story! What’s not to love about an intense and growly male and the strong, confident woman with a hidden core of softness who tames him? I really can’t express how much I enjoyed the chemistry between Rusty and Reid. The story was so much fun to read and the writing so, so good! I’ll definitely be watching out for more from Ms. Gray.
