Pilot-for-hire Zoe Stone is happy to call Sunshine, Idaho, her home base. But her quiet life is thrown for a loop when her brother’s friend Parker comes to stay with her for a week. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife special agent is a handsome flirt with a gift for getting under her skin. And the situation only escalates when Parker hires her to fly him around the area while he collects evidence on a suspected smuggler.

Now she has to live and work with the guy. But when they’re in the air, she sees another side of him. He’s driven, focused, and sharp. And while he enjoys giving commentary on her blind dates, she quickly realizes with a shock that it’s Parker who gets her engines going.

Review

Every time I pick up a book by Jill Shalvis, I know that I’m in for a heartwarming, sweet and sexy treat and ALL I WANT certainly delivered on its promise.

Meet Zoe Stone. Ace pilot, very independent, somewhat snarky, a bit bruised by life, the oldest Stone sibling and de facto mother of the brood. Now that her siblings are settled in their relationships, Zoe plans on working on a few things on her list like fixing up the home they inherited from their grandparents, learning to bake and getting back into the dating pool. Then she opens up her door to Parker James and that list gets a re-shuffle.

Parker James is on forced vacation after being wounded in the line of duty (who knew that there was so much danger working with the Fish & Wildlife Service?) and he chose Sunshine, Idaho. Lucky for him, his old college buddy Wyatt lives in Sunshine and he’ll be sharing the old family home with Wyatt’s older sister. Her enthusiastic welcome and the instant chemistry between them are completely unexpected but welcome and for the first time in his life, Parker has found the one person who can distract him from his absolute dedication to his job.

Meet Parker James. Investigating agent for the Fish & Wildlife Service and the sexiest man to ever grace Sunshine (sorry, Wyatt!). He’s attractive, caring, confident, protective, has a great sense of humor and when it comes to his job, which is his real reason for being in Sunshine, Parker is extremely driven and focused.

Two people with reason to shun commitment. Zoe has been played for a fool before and Parker feels that his single-minded devotion to his job means that there is no room in his life for anything or anyone else. But sizzling chemistry like Zoe and Parker share is not something they are used to so, even though there is no future for them, they don’t mind enjoying each other in the time they have together.

ALL I WANT was such a fun book. The flirting, the witty banter, the verbal foreplay, the humor – it all felt so good! The antics of the animals also added a playful element to the story. What I loved most was the lack of angst. Jill Shalvis always makes me smile, laugh and fall in love with her characters!
