Pristine waters and purified evil.

Two by two, dark-haired beauties vanish only to reappear as hanging, plundered corpses. The Virgin Islands boast diamond-white beaches, lush green mountains, a rich cultural heritage—and a brutal killer.

Three years on the “Field-Dresser” case and Special Agent Nathan Brewer is days away from catching the bastard—if he can convince a certain brunette to trust him. Only the woman is more likely to take a casual stroll on the surface of the sun.

After fleeing her troubles in the United States for the quiet life of a school teacher on the island of Tortola, Madelyn Garrett never imagined she’d be fixated upon by pure evil.

In a fight for her life—with a dwindling number of friends—she must rely on her cunning and Nathan’s skills for survival.

Review

Madelyn Garrett moved to the island of Tortola for the peaceful and tranquil life on it and it’s not until her best friend goes missing that she discovers that her island paradise may not be much of one.

FBI Agent Nathan Brewer has been on the hunt for a serial killer with the moniker, “the Field-Dresser” for three years (even though most believed he had already been captured) and it appears that the hunt may be at an end when bodies matching the M.O of the killer surface on the island of Tortola, which is also within the territory he had predicted the killer would strike next. What Nathan does not expect is the instant attraction he has to Madelyn but he would go to any lengths to protect her from a vicious killer who has her in his sights and is playing deadly game of cat and mouse with them.

Okay, I so did not see this coming! For All to See is the kind of book that will have you clutching the pillows and hiding under the covers even as you read because you can’t resist finding out who the killer is! The villainous character is a very deranged and sick one and the murders are so gory and chilling that for a minute, I had to check to be sure that this book was not classified as horror. Thankfully, the romance between Madelyn and Nathan more that balances out the mayhem in the story.

Madelyn and Nathan are kindred spirits, each with a painful past which they overcame but not without scars. Madelyn is very independent and always roots for the underdog and Nathan is very much a protector, which is something she needs due to her need to always charge in and help without regard for her own safety. I loved their relationship and the fact that even though he was protective of her, he also was aware of her strengths and utilized them.

Ms. Mitcham has written a gripping story that will keep the reader on the edge of the seat and also keep the brain actively trying to figure out whodunit. An absolutely great read!

  1. Books with deranged characters are the best! Haha I love my horror and thrillers so this killer aspect sounds like a blast if you ask me! Great review! 🙂
