Mason Hunt is on assignment from EXIT Inc. to take out a suspected terrorist financier, but everything may not be as it seems because he’s been given information that indicates that his target may be innocent. Now he’s rescuing her before someone else completes the assignment.

Sabrina Hightower has had the worst few months of her life and it doesn’t appear that it’s over as she wakes up to an intruder in her home. Luckily for her, even though his original assignment was to kill her, he’s there to protect her.

Just because Mason lets her go does not mean that EXIT Inc. would and what follows is intense action as Mason and Sabrina race to discover the reason why Sabrina is in the cross-hairs. The problem is, they are up against a private black ops organization with a lot of resources at its disposal and they have to stay ahead of the game in order to stay alive!

Wow! EXIT STRATEGY may be one of the best books I have read so far this year because Ms. Diaz very seamlessly blends the action and the romance in such a way that the reader does not feel like one overshadows the other. I love Sabrina and Mason a lot! In spite of the dangers facing them, they are both very optimistic about their chances of survival and the odds definitely increase as they get help from their connections.

Another reason why I enjoyed EXIT STRATEGY so much is that Ms. Diaz actually made me sympathize with the bad guy. A parent’s love for his only surviving child is nothing to sneer at and a man who has lost most of his family to a terrorist attack would do anything to protect the rest of the family he’s got but what starts as a way of protecting his child spirals into murder, cover ups and kidnappings and the collateral damage just keeps piling up.

EXIT STRATEGY is a thrill ride that’ll have the reader riding the wave of despair, anger, fear, elation and so many other emotions alongside the characters. I know that halfway through the book I was already wishing for the second book!
