Ambition. Lust. Sacrifice. Politics just got a whole lot sexier.

Grace Colton’s life is a blur—security, appearances, and a desperately fast ramp-up to Election Day. Political consultant Jared Rankin is pulling the strings to win the White House with the Conover-Colton ticket.

But the fragile relationship Grace and Jared forged could be ruined by secrets traded for political leverage. She’s hiding her new relationship with Jared from the public, and concealing a deeper secret from everyone.

When Grace reveals the explosive truth to her running mate, squeaky-clean Senator Conover must confront his own haunted past. Grace’s future—and their campaign—could be ruined by the lies meant to protect what they love most.

Peek behind the curtain and under the covers in this sexy political drama that exposes the true cost of ambition, lust and sacrifice.

This erotic romance contains toe-curling sex and fiery language. It is recommended for mature readers.

Grace and Jared are back in the second installment of the series and basking the glow of their newly acknowledged love. Grace has been named the VP for the Conover presidential ticket, the campaign is ramping up ahead of the elections and her days are hectic and filled with travelling and campaign appearances. On the personal front, Grace has a big secret that would have a huge impact on the campaign, her political ambitions and also on her relationship with Jared. Turns out she is not the only one with a life-altering secret. Soon secrets long buried are coming to light and loyalties are tested. In the midst of this, Grace and Jared are getting used to being a couple and trying to define their relationships, both personal and professional.

THE PHOENIX CAMPAIGN was a very interesting reading, heavy on relationships and very emotional. Even though the pace was not as fast as the previous book, I really enjoyed it because we got to know the people behind the politicians – their fears, their hurts, their desires, their ambitions, their history, their mistakes and so on. Unfortunately, some of the issues in their personal lives spill over into and negatively impact the campaign that out outside help is needed to salvage the campaign.

As with the previous book, the writing is great and shows that the subject was well-researched. With lots of drama, secrets, half-truths and more hot and steamy scenes, the stage is set for the countdown to election night and the highly anticipated conclusion to the series.

About Heidi Joy Tretheway

Heidi Joy is a sucker for campfires, craft cocktails, and steamy romance in books and real life. She sings along with musicals (badly), craves French carbs, and buys plane tickets the way some women buy shoes.
Her first career as a journalist took Heidi behind the scenes with politicians, rock stars, chefs, and detectives, all of whom inspire her stories. Heidi Joy is currently working on her eighth book from her home in Portland, Oregon. She adores hearing from readers at author.heidi@gmail.com.
