Wow! This was one major thrill ride filled with romance, danger, non-stop action and intense emotions! The story just grabbed me from the first page and sucked me in.
Arial Rochester is naive and optimistic and has had a sheltered and mostly isolated upbringing for fear that she would be in danger if her paranormal abilities were discovered. Unfortunately, she is forced to use her abilities to defend herself from harm and sets off a chain of events that lead to her seeking help from Beau Deveraux. Beau finds himself drawn to Ari and unable to maintain his objectivity and treat her like a client. All he wants is to protect her from any harm but Ari is not willing to sit back and do nothing. She would willingly give her life to keep those she loves safe. Or use her powers to keep them safe.
Ari is an interesting combination of sweet innocence and fierce inner strength, sweet and good. Beau has lots of rough edges but is just perfect for Ari. I enjoyed everything about this book. The characters were well-written, the action was plenty and the emotions were so raw and powerful! I am an adrenaline junkie who gets her fix from the pages of books so the story kept me on the edge of my seat with all the action.
IN HIS KEEPING is all about love – all-consuming, overwhelming and selfless love, the love of parents for their child, the love of a man for his soul mate, the love of a woman for her man and the lengths they would go to protect this love- right from the first page to the last and is definitely one of my favorites this year.
