Three full-length hot, suspenseful novels by New York Times Bestselling author Jessie Evans, featuring rugged, alpha cowboys and the women feisty enough to tame them. Welcome to Lonesome Point!

LEATHER AND LACE

Cowboy bikers, fireworks, and romance, oh my…

Wild girl, Mia Sherman, has a secret—she isn’t as fearless as she pretends. Descended from Lonesome Point, Texas’ founding family, Mia grew up hearing tales of an ancient Irish curse that followed the Shermans to America. The first-born daughter of every generation is cursed to lose her husband on her wedding night, which is one of the many reasons Mia has sworn off relationships. Until the fateful day rancher Sawyer Kane rides his Harley into her life …

Can true love conquer all, even a centuries-old curse? Mia and Sawyer will be the first to find out.

SADDLES AND SIN

Even sweet cowboys have a sinful side…

Robert Lawson—Bubba to his friends—is six feet, four inches of tall, dark, and handsome cowboy, with a panty-melting voice and a face made to launch a country music career. But when his family’s ranch hands go down with the flu, Robert cancels his high-profile auditions and returns home to help out. Marisol Medina has been looking for her golden ticket since she became a country music manager, but she refuses to mix business and pleasure, even if it will be hell, resisting temptation while spending a week at the Lawson family ranch with her star client.

But as Marisol and Robert grow closer and the passion between them ignites, Marisol must decide if a chance at forever is worth breaking all her rules.

DIAMONDS AND DUST

The home run neither of them expected…

Pike Sherman is a legend in Lonesome Point, a hometown boy who made it to the big leagues. Literally. Professional baseball acquired one hell of a pitching arm and it’s latest celebrity bad boy when the gifted Pike was drafted seven years ago. Pike’s broken heart came along for the ride, too, but he kept that private. Tulsi Hearst knows she should stay far away from the brooding man her summer love has become, but she can’t resist a dance with the only man who ever made her blood rush.

After a few days back in Lonesome Point, Pike can’t imagine life without the girl he left behind, but when Tulsi’s secret is revealed, his heart is broken all over again. The only thing worse than losing Tulsi, is losing six years with the daughter he didn’t know he had.

LEATHER AND LACEMia Sherman is back in Lonesome, Texas and has sworn off relationships after her most recent experience. She’s content running her lingerie shop and playing pranks on the townspeople alongside her best friends. Mia’s relationship hiatus is not just because of her experience, she is convinced that the reputed family curse is real and is not willing to take a chance on loving and losing. Sawyer Kane is a restoration expert in town on business when he stumbles into Mia and is interested in getting to know her better. Fortunately for him, Mia is his designated guide and as they spend time together, the spark that first flickered between them catches flame.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. On the outside, Mia is a tough and strong woman, but in reality her experiences with her ex have cost her her confidence. Sawyer recognizes this and is very gentle and tender and patient with Mia. A mystery, a ghost town, a feisty grandma and the best friends anyone could ask for add up to make this a fun read. My favorite part is Mia’s nickname for her grandma – sugar britches.

SADDLES AND SINRobert Lawson aka Bubba loves to sing and is on the verge of a breakthrough in his pursuit of a country music career. A family emergency causes him to return to the family ranch to lend a hand. Along with him comes his manager, Marisol Medina. Marisol knows gold when she she sees it and is not willing to let it slip through her hands, so she follows Bubba back home. Marisol has been badly burned in the past when she got involved with her client and has vowed not to repeat her mistake, no matter how hot the chemistry between her and Bubba. Bubba can see that Marisol is hiding a lot of pain behind her fun persona and just wants a chance to take away the pain and teach her to trust again. Being in close proximity in Lonesome, Bubba works his magic and gets Marisol to slowly start trusting him.

This book was more emotional that the first one, due to the big secret Marisol had and its effect on her relationships with her family and her fears that it would taint her relationship with Bubba, but he was gentle and patient with Marisol with lots of lovin’ thrown in, some of it kinky! The chemistry between then was hot and I liked Bubba because he was so protective and supportive of Marisol.

DIAMONDS AND DUSTPike Sherman is Mia’s older brother who had been secretly involved with her best friend, Tulsi seven years ago, a relationship that resulted in a baby. Tulsi has never disclosed the identity of the father and has spent the last six years raising her daughter by herself. Tulsi lost favor in her father’s eyes as  result of her teen pregnancy and has been trying to redeem herself since. Pike’s return threatens to upset Tulsi’s world and she is determined to avoid him and keep him away from her daughter to protect her secrets.

When Pike left Lonesome he had no plans to return, but now he’s back for his sister’s wedding and finds that in spite of all his efforts, he in still in love with Tulsi and will go to any lengths to get a second chance with her.

This is a heartfelt story of misunderstandings and secrets and I have to say I teared up a bit. I really liked Tulsi because underneath her angelic persona was a very strong, resourceful woman and protective  momma bear. Pike was not my favorite of the men, but he was okay. The common theme in the series is women who have been hurt in some way or have secrets and their men who are protective, gentle, loyal and loving. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

About Jessie Evans

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary Southern romances she loves to read.
She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more.
When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.
