Callie Henderson had to fight to put her tragic past behind her, but now the up-and-coming player in the hospitality industry is well on her way to happiness. She has her sights set on the lead renovation position at the Sunset Harbor Inn—an inn that just happens to be owned by Sam Edwards, the man who comforted her in her grief and gave her one night of passion before walking away.

Sam is searching for someone who can turn his quaint inn into a premier boutique hotel. He just never expected that someone to be the one woman who knows his deepest secrets. But he needs Callie, and Callie needs the job. Throw in a talking parrot with a cracker addiction, some uncooperative islanders, and enough sexual sparks to light a beachside bonfire, and they’ve got their work cut out for them…

More to Give is a story of heartbreak and healing, of facing the past…and having the courage to believe in a future.

Callie Henderson is bound and determined to get the job leading the renovation on the Sunset Harbor Inn, owned by Sam Edwards.  She aims to establish her reputation as a hotel renovator and desperately needs this job to achieve this.

Sam Edwards is stuck on Anchor Island per the terms of his uncle’s will. All he wants is to get the Inn renovated and find a loophole in the will to get him off Anchor Island. Sam lives in the present, a loner by choice, not interested in forming any ties and definitely not interested in revisiting the past. But his past came calling in the form of Callie Henderson. Callie and Sam have a shared past, a mostly painful past filled with betrayal, heartbreak and one night of passion.

Working together and keeping their hands off each other poses a challenge and they ultimately give in to the steamy attraction between them. They both realize very quickly that they want more from each other but unresolved issues from their past are a barrier to getting the future they both want.

This is my first read from Terri Osborn and it is a solid 5 star read. Ms. Osborn makes the relaxed and easygoing way of life on Anchor Island very appealing. New friends, colorful island old-timers and busybodies make for an interesting read. Watching (well, reading about) Callie and Sam navigate their relationship was both frustrating and fun. I just wanted to grab them both and shake some sense into them. There was a lot of emotions – heartbreak, tears, joy, laughter- and I found myself tearing up one minute and laughing loudly the next. I enjoyed getting a glimpse into the lives of characters from the previous books in the series. More to Give was a delight to read and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an interesting contemporary romance.
